    “We’re not ALL like that!”

White people, why do you feel the need to interject this anytime someone makes a statement about “white people”? Not “all white people.” But “White people.” You always tell us we’d to better to add a “some” before that “white people” statement, because without it, we are talking about every single one of you. Or, that’s what you think, anyway.

Because the thing is, we never say all white people act a certain way. We never said that all white people do anything. White people, do you want me to be real with you? It’s about to happen.

You want to know the reason why when we say “white people,” you read it as “all white people? It’s because when you say, “Black people do this,” or “Asian people are like this,” you mean “all,” So you assume that we’re doing the same.

Next time you feel the staggering need to jump into a conversation simply to say, “You’re generalizing! Say “SOME white people!” when nobody said “ALL white people,” I want you to take a seat and think about why. And then, I’mma need you to move out of your chair and sit on the floor, because you’re going to have to take a second seat after taking a seat.
