Toussaint L’Ouverture Trailer

A French TV movie directed by Phillipe Niang.

Oh fuck yes.
Haiti’s history is so fascinating, and so fucking important to the history of the world - it’s really not an exaggeration, at all, to put its independence on par with the US’s and France’s revolution in terms of its impact and uniqueness (and I think the case could be made that it was more important. But I don’t have the authority to say so as an academic) - and goddamn, how many shitty movies exist about the US’s independence*?
I really hope this is amazing, and even if it isn’t, it’s still important.
